About GiLL-T

Gill-T Audio Biography

Gill-T Records is an Indigenous Canadian record label founded by Phat Homie, built from real life, real scars, and real survival. With members spread across Alberta, the label represents a unified force of Indigenous artists who didn’t come from privilege — they came from pressure. This isn’t an “up-and-coming” story. This is a movement already in motion and still accelerating. Rooted in lived experience, Gill-T Records’ music speaks directly to the trials and tribulations of Indigenous life in Canada — confronting racism, generational trauma, street life, pain, and the realities of gang culture, while documenting the growth, healing, and evolution that comes from surviving it. Every bar carries weight because it’s earned, not imagined. With a massive street presence and a rapidly growing social media footprint, Gill-T Records consistently racks up views, streams, and engagement, carving out space where Indigenous voices are too often ignored. Their influence stretches beyond music — it’s cultural, visible, and impossible to dismiss. Respect didn’t come easy, but it came honestly. What sets Gill-T Records apart is direction. Rather than glorifying the past, the label is pivoting with purpose — using hard-earned knowledge to guide youth, especially Indigenous youth, toward a different future. The message is clear: learn from our mistakes so you don’t have to repeat them. There is another path, and it doesn’t require losing yourself to find your voice. Gill-T Records is about changing perception, rewriting narratives, and showing that strength isn’t just survival — it’s responsibility. Through music, mentorship, and community-driven intent, the label aims to uplift their people, support growth, and contribute something lasting beyond charts and numbers. Well respected. Highly talented. Unapologetically Indigenous. Gill-T Records isn’t knocking on the door of hip hop — they’re causing a wave, and the scene is moving with them.
