Deffine is a driven artist and lyricist based in Edmonton Alberta. Known for his gritty authenticity and emotional depth, Deffine explores the everyday struggles and triumphs of life as an aspiring hip-hop artist. With layered bars combining hard-hitting punches and soulful introspection, he has crafted a distinctive sound rooted in experience, hunger, and evolution.

His debut album, My Definition (2010), marked the beginning of a powerful journey, quickly earning him opening spots for legendary acts like Mobb Deep, Obie Trice, Warren G, D12, Travis Scott, Killah Priest, Hopsin, Planet Asia, The Alkaholiks, Swollen Members, and more. Touring across Canada with Doom Squad, Deffine’s name gained momentum, solidifying his place in the Canadian hip-hop scene.

In 2012, he released More Than Murder, a 22-track, followed by More Than Murder II, showcasing his evolving versatility and collaboration with Edmonton’s finest talent. These projects laid the foundation for what would become a larger vision.

After years of growth and refinement, Deffine dropped his highly anticipated album Purgatory in January 2023. The project marks a new peak in his artistry—pushing the More Than Murder legacy into new territory.

Deffine’s ambition goes beyond the mic. In 2021, he launched More Than Murder Records, a label and creative powerhouse. The label offers full-scale production services—from recording, mixing & mastering to music video creation and distribution—positioning itself as a cornerstone for independent hip-hop in Canada.

He also founded More Than Murder Studios, a space for rising and established artists alike to access professional recording, mixing, mastering, beats, and industry insight.
