Pooky G is a multi talented artist, musician, model and actress born and raised in Treaty 6 Territory Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton).

 

She currently spends her days working as a DJ hosting Indigenous hip hop at two radio stations broadcasted through Windspeaker Media. Pooky G works passionately developing and filming entertainment projects and recording music and is skilled in the performing arts. If it’s Art, Pooky G is no stranger. She has grown up, in and around the Indigenous entertainment industry scene for many years. Her EP album So Far So Hood was nominated for an international Indigenous hip hop award and secured best hip hop album of the year in 2022, along with newly released singles. 

 

Pooky also freelances “Aboriginal family and youth support” contract work through Indigenous organizations by facilitating empowerment workshops that include healing through music and live performances. 

 

Her performance in her first lead role in the film “Abducted”, awarded Pooky a nomination for best actress, and recently modeled for a feature artist spot in a Parisian magazine.

In signing with More Than Murder Records, Pooky G has taken her music to the next level. The future can’t come soon enough - what she does next will surely make history.
